International Marine & Wave Energy Symposium: Emerging Ocean Tech in Coastal India
Presenting hydrodynamic research, tidal barrage feasibility, and wave energy converter pilots for India’s 7,500+ km coastline.
Opera Energy’s Emerging Technologies team was invited to present at the International Marine & Ocean Energy Symposium, focusing on untapped marine energy potential across South Asia.
The technical session highlighted Opera’s ongoing site characterization studies in the Gulf of Khambhat and Gulf of Kutch, evaluating tidal stream dynamics and coastal wave energy density.
The conference addressed technical challenges including marine bio-fouling resistance, subsea grid interconnection, and environmental impact mitigation for marine biodiversity.
The symposium concluded with collaborative research agreements between Opera Energy and leading offshore ocean engineering consortiums to accelerate commercial marine energy demonstration projects in Gujarat.
